Above: Thom Brown teddies as the audience at his last show. Definitely one of my favorite things right now.
My latest favorite thing is my Discord server. It’s for my followers to make friends with each other, network, share, help each other, chat about all things fashion and making. I am now playing around on the voice channel for hangouts and I love it! Come join us! Last time we talked about everything from how to develop your own illustration style to the history of SPAM.
Here in the US, it’s the end of the school year, and I’ve been zooming into classrooms to do end of year lectures and final project critiques and I am having a blast! I miss interacting with students in person and this is the next best thing.
Last month, I hit 500,000 subscribers on the channel and I still can’t get over it. When I first started this channel, the biggest fashion education channels were at 80K so I set my goal for 100K. I’ve moved that goal further out again and again over the years. They say you have to be a little delusional to achieve your goals. Get a little delusional, my friends. Set some insane goals and work your little butts off. Thank you to all of you for your continued support, especially those of you who have shared my videos with people over the years!
Speaking of my channel, are you caught up on my videos? I interviewed Nick Wooster (please take advantage of the wisdom gleaned from his 40+ years in the fashion industry!), my instagram followers presented me with a Stump Zoe Challenge (which was wild and hilarious but hopefully still instructional), and I rendered plaid and leather.
